ebonics

The true definition of ebonics is a made up version of english
so that we can reclaim a new language that was taken away from
us in slavery. Even though blacks have made up ebonics and other cultural things, everyone in america tries to copy it. Thus we can never have anything we say or create truely ours, because everyone wants a peice of the black/african pie.
It's time iz be goin ta da mutha lan (Africa). I ain't been dair in 450 years. Fo'get ebonics let's speak swahili, bantu, or other tribal languages.

Ebonics

Ebonics actually goes all the way back to the times of enslavement where Africans mixed their dialect with that of their European captors. Not being able to properly speak the language, slaves would combine sounds and create new words. "Finna" and extension of fixing to is an example of this.
White people will try to appropriate ebonics...just watch.

Ebonics

An racist term (in my opinion) describing how black people supposedly speak, when in reality, a lot of white peoples talk like that too. (But seriously, who the hell says "I'm going to" anymore. Literally everybody says, or has at least said once or unintentionally, "I'm gonna." Or "Imma". Who has the patience to say the full word? At least no one I know. It's just faster. That's why not many people say " Long Island Express." They say "L.I.E". Plus, no one even says "dat" or "hizzy", anymore. That's just an exaggeration.)
Supposed "Ebonics": "Look at that hoe."
Supposed English: "Look at that hoe."

Habla Ebonics?

Habla Ebonics? street name talking black black soeak ebinics vernacular blenglish

The moment when one realizes it’s time to break it down, drop the BS and just tell it like it is. Preface by asking “habla ebonics?” (Meaning do you understand the words that are about to come outta my mouth...?”

Example:
Plain English:
Her perspective is juxtaposed.

Habla Ebonics:
She got $#!+ twisted!
Example: girlfriends at a day spa, one girlfriend is delusional and only one friend in the group tells it like it is and one friend is politically correct. Jane describes Molly’s delusion as”
“Her perspective is juxtaposed.” Sasha, the sole black friend wants to check the temperature of the room before being frank and honest before rendering her opinion, so she asks, “Habla Ebonics?” Jane replies, “Girl, si,si! So Sasha’s agrees and mirrors Jane’s opinion, but speaks in Ebonics by replying, “Girl, Molly got $#!+ twisted.”
