Sentence-Pushing

A condition where an individual habitually presses enter to send in a text message (i.e. Facebook, or other I.M.) before completing a full sentence, which is remnant to pressing enter rapidly to begin a new line of computer code in a text editor or compiler.

Often found in people who often write computer code, or type extremely fast.

Normal Message: yes, ryan i was at the pier last night with all my bros and they taught me how to backflip off the end and miss the rocks

W/ Sentence-Pushing: yes ryan

i was at the pier last night
with all my bros
and they taught me how to backflip

off the end
and miss the rocks

show posting

A "show posting" occurs when you have secured a new job with the recruiting manager and then the organizations, kicks off the "job posting!, but you know the corporate process is bullshit as you have already secure the position, it is a facade, only a show to check the "corporate process" checkbox.

A friend knows a VP on Bank of America, who could offer you a management position talk to her to secure the job and the she will complete the "show posting" corporate process

power posting

Synonymous with spam, it is the posting of multiple messages in a short succession. It is usually done to gain certain privileges that require a certain amount of posts to gain, or to simply boost one's post count to make them seem like they're a more experienced user (although this is usually not the case with people who power post)

Person 1: *new thread* "OMG hi guys!!!"
Person 1: *repeats the above about 500 times*
Person 2: "I think Person 1 might be power posting."

god punting

God punting is essentially a lazy technique religious people use to answer questions. Instead of giving you a solid & factual answer, they chalk it up to "God's doing" or "God's work." It's also used frequently by parents who can't be bothered to do a Google search or open a book, so they tell their curious children (who ask brilliant questions) that "God did it" or "God created that."

Little Bobby- "Dad, why do the stars twinkle?"

Dad- "Because God makes them twinkle. Now run along & let Dad watch his football game."

Little Bobby- "Dad, are you God punting me?"
