Get the Am a lawyermug. AM (Actual Machine) Technology is a slang term used by Engineers who are educated and understand the inner workings of a machine. Machines that run on AM technology are well understood, well documented, provide reliable results and are much easier to explain to a lay person. AM Technology is the opposite of PFM or PM Technology. Engineers who give a shit or are given the time to do their jobs right will create AM Technology.
Engineer: "I finally finished that project I've been working full-time on for the past 2 years."
Boss: "Great! Write up a summary to present in our meeting tomorrow. Leave out all of that technical jargon that nobody understands!"
