Metrocon

Also Known as Metroconvention.

One if not the BIGGEST Anime conventions in the United States. Held anually at the Tampa Convention Center in Downtown Tampa, Florida since 2001. This convention spans over three days on a weekend in late July/ early August. This Convention host the one and only Original Anime Human Chess Match where Two teams of 16 "act out" a chess match with scripted Fights. Metrocon also hosts the Masquerade Ball, Tournaments for Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Magic: The Gathering TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh TCG and a Rave. Metrocon is basically a reason to Cosplay as your favorite anime or Video Game Chracter.

Johnny: "Hey, Timmy, are you going to Metrocon?"

Timmy:"Of Course!"

Johnny: "Who are you Cosplaying as?"

Timmy: "I'm going as Dante from Devil May Cry!"

Meronia

Meronia is the ship of the two characters, Mello and Near from the anime series, Death Note. The name ‘Meronia’ comes from the Japanese names of the characters, Mello being Mero and Near being Nia. It’s a very weird ship, as Mello and Near were originally supposed to be brothers, so they have that brotherly relationship.

Person 1: Meronia is a weird ship, and Mello and Near hate each other, so it doesn’t make sense either.
Person 2: I know right? Meronia is gross, I’m glad you have common sense and don’t ship it.
