Long Island 

An Island right outside of NYC. It consist of yes Brooklyn and Queens, but it is better known for Nassau and Suffolk. Nassau has a higher crime rate than suffolk. Suffolk has many beaches, but is too suburban and in my opinion boring to live. Wyandanch in Suffolk County, is yes poor but DEFINATLEY not the hood. But places in Nassau tend to to be more Urban and more hood. Not as hood as places in NYC, but for Long Island these are definatley hoods. Roosevelt, Hempstead, and Freeport. And that's about it. Roosevelt known for one of America's most famous rap groups Public Enemy, which is well known and respected. Also the famous doctor J. Though Hempstead and Freeport are the hood, Roosevelt is one of the only full black communtiy's on Long Isalnd, and a little hispanic.

I don't feel like giving an example, so I'll just put the word in so they'll accept it. Long Island.

Ellis Island 

The Ellis Island is a new sexual act. It is rather hard to perform and is dubbed the Ellis Island because the receiver doesn't receive much pleasure by what is going on.

staten island

ok there are alot of people here say crap bout staten island and like half of is not tru. kay the rich kids there not from south beach most rich kids in staten island are from todth hill. most ppl on the island are really rich or act like they are. yeah are accents are heavy and btw the WHOLE ISLAND IS NOT THE DUMP the dumps in fresh kills and so what if half the island is made if itlians .you don't know nothing unless you live there. yea sadly we're the forggetten brough but who cares cuz everyone know staten island is the best. and there is only one mall and basicly one highway and 4 bridges. we're not wannabee's and WE ARE THE ORGINAL GUDIOS/GUDDETTS.

New York City and Long island 

An odd pairing of the greatest, biggest, most sophisticated and cosmopolitan city in the world with some backwater, flat, conservative, obnoxious, whitebread, redneck, chickenshit boringass bunghole in the backwoods of Upstate New York. Contrary to Island belief, we New Yorkers do NOT consider Long Islanders to be our brethren.
