soft carb

To be hit in the head with a piece of stale French bread. To retaliate, defecate in a baguette and hit the bread thrower in the head with bread filled with shit.
My roommate hit me with bread and I returned the favor by giving him a soft carb.

soft patch

What you need to land on -- especially when falling from a great height.
Friend: Listen, friend, I can't pull you up. You need to let go... swing your body and aim for the soft patch.

You: OMG. OMG. OMG.

Friend: The soft patch is right to the left of those jagged boulders and just to the right of that rusty metal fence. Aim for that soft patch.

You: *cries*

SOFT

When a person (usually an uncle) copies and pastes dad jokes, most likely from a social media source such as twitter.
My uncle thought he was smooth with the jokes… turns out he’s just been SOFT this whole time.

Soft-hedge

An uncommon strategy seen with cryptocurrency. You are hedging some token without selling the token. e.g. If I’m in for the long-term and I want to hedge against token x price going down, I can predict the price going down in the market and stake my token x. If the price does go down, I can receive additional rebase rewards from people who predicted otherwise. "Soft" is used because contrary to how leverage works, you aren’t at risk of losing your principal.
