An expression basically meaning that you can only have it so good, and you can't have it all.

An good example is if a situation is bittersweet.

Sara was sad that the guy whom had gotten very close to her in the past 3 years which she held a secret fondness for developed an interest in her best friend, Clare. In conversation with Clare, Sara explained the situation, to which Clare responded.

"You can't have your cake and eat it too."

don't get too comfortable

You shoulnd't take your releationships for granted. Getting seriously engaged in a comittment will eventually lead to a heartbreak, where the guy is the heartbroken one (most of the times). So man up and don't get too comfortable. Otherwise shit gon' hurt.

Fred: "Have you heard of Jason, he is miserable after what happened with Ronja"
Lucas: "I've told him to never get too comfortable. Those bitches ain't good for us. Hope he feels better soon!"

לא לשים הגמל בזבל (don't put the camel in the trash)

(in Hebrew לא לשים הגמל בזבל): a funny/silly Hebrew phrase meaning, don't do something ridiculous or retarded without having though it through, only to regret it later.

Since camels are a valuable source, even to this day, of transportation in The Middle East, I will conclude that the phrase לא לשים הגמל בזבל (don't put the camel in the trash) in English, would have to be a rational and sound piece of advice, let alone a silly phrase I invented.
