sampling spree

When you go into a store just to eat all of the free samples. It is similar to a shopping spree, except that you're looking for free samples instead of things to buy. This is mainly used as an easy way to get free food and annoy the hell out of the store at the same time.

John: Man, I'm SO BORED.

Jake: Dude, let's go on a sampling spree at Terribly Named Mart and see how long it takes for the employees to get mad at us.

John: Alright bro! Let's do it!

Sample Surfing

The act of going through Costco or mall food courts and sampling from every poor sod having to stand there with free samples of food.

James and Robert didn't feel like paying for a meal, so they snuck into Costco and went sample surfing.

Sample Squatters

Costco shoppers who park their cart next to the free sample stand, waiting for the next batch to be ready. Usually parking in such a way that blocks easy access to other carts, discouraging other sample seekers.

Amy: "Hey, we should go get some free samples."

Matt: "Nah, it's already surrounded by sample squatters."

Amy: "Let's go ram their carts!"

Matt: "Now you're talkin'."
