Fanny is used in the U.K, Australia and N.Z as a slang for pussy. In Scandinavia, Fanny (also spelt Fanni/Fannie) is a very common girls name. But it's not pronounced like fanny (pussy), it's pronounced more like funny or fuh-nay.

You could only imagine how tough it would be for a girl named Fanni to come to Australia.
