A game taking place on the popular auction site in which players choose an item they have no interest in buying or owning and bid on it anyway, hoping that they will be outbid before the auction ends and they won't end up having to pay for it.

eBay mong

Someone that cannot or will not understand the nature of an eBay transaction.

A sufficiently talented eBay mong will fail to read the listing, be incapable of following clear instructions, fail to make contact if they win the auction and generally dick the seller about in new and inventive ways.

The eBay mong's natural habitat is a dreamworld. They communicate by 'txt spk' only, and never have any money.

Listing: DO NOT ask for a buy it now price, the auction will run until it finishes.

Ebay Camping

Waiting till the last possible minute to bid on a desired ebay item, in hopes that you will not drive the biding price through the roof. More often than not, the bidder gets the ebay jeebies or ebayphoria.

Man, I was ebay camping the other day and I snagged a your mom for $7.43!! The shipping & handling was $45 though...

I was sure I'd win the auction. I was getting the ebay jeebies and out of nowhere came another ebay camper... and now I don't have Britney Spears's half-eaten sandwich...
