Busting your bits

A casual expression meaning to joke with someone, tease them, or mess with them in a friendly, non-serious way. Used to clarify that a comment or action wasn’t meant to be taken seriously. Similar to “ Yanking your chain” or “Pulling your leg”

“Relax, man—he’s just busting your bits.”
“I’m not serious, I’m just busting your bits.”
“Don’t get mad, I was only busting your bits.”
