The Springfiel M1903 rifle was originaly designed and produced for the Spanish-American War. As a very simple but highly accurate bolt action weapon that must reloaded one shell at a time, it was quickly favored as a sniper's rifle. During World War Two, many of these outdated rifles were modified by snipers for further, more extensive use. Barrel rifling was intensified and 4X scopes were mounted and the weapon again seen mas production. However, it's very slow rate of fire made it usles in close quaters combat, so it remain only one of the best sniper's weapons of the war.
The famed woman snipers of the Canadian Armed Forces were ecspecialy deadly with the sights of the Springfield rifle during WW2.

Springfield, Missouri is a fairly large and rapidly growing city located in the southwest region of Missouri. Springfield currently has lots of open real estate and is a great place to consider moving if you have a family. Springfield is now the proud team affiliate of the St.Louis Cardinals and recently built the all new John Q.Hammons stadium which now serves as home to the Springfield Cardinals. We will also be adding a Macy's to our mall later this year along with many other stores such as Banana Republic. Probably the largest thing to happen to Springfield is the name change of our college from Southwest Missouri State University to Missouri State University. It is now Missouri's second state college. Springfield's skyline looks nice at sunset and it's tallest building is John Q. Hammons tower. Springfield's attractions include Bass Pro shops outdoor world,wonders of wildlife,Dickerson Park zoo, Fantstic Caverns,Missouri sports hall of fame,Wilson's creek National Battlefield which includes the sweeny museum of civil war history and more. Over the years it has developed a nice downtown and many cool shops and cafes. There are many bars and nightclubs for adult entertainment and kid friendly places too. It is not at all "redneck" and the greater Springfield area has over 250,000 people which makes it a semi-large city and a great place to retire. It is spacious as well as homey.

There's literally nothing to do besides hanging out at the pool, which has either too much urine from the 3:30 kiddy lessons or pollution, or the poorly-planned sewage canal that runs right next to it on 900 South (I use to be a lifeguard there). The football games can be pretty fun, but only if you enjoying freezing your ass. The Mormons control the city, which isn't a bad thing, because I'm a Mormon, but my bishop was also the sheriff, which made it awkward at times.
Oh yeah, and there's no hot chicks. The cousin-to-cousin marriages have declined since the '50s, but people who have been there forever are a by-product of incestuous relationships. Everyone is of Swedish-American heritage, so all the cuisines are completely unhealthy, which explains why there a bunch of lard-asses in Springville, Utah.
