When a guy/girl fails at getting action or maintaining a relationship with a person, he/she won't find others as attractive as said person. The strength/length of fail goggles is dependent upon time and emotional attachment.

Guy - "I just don't find her that attractive."

Friend - "Dude, you just broke up, so you have the fail goggles on. She's a 10 and I know you'd normally agree with me."

Quiet Failing

Definition: The act of not providing followup warnings or taking any subsequent action after earlier warnings of perceived imminent failure were ignored. At the point of Quiet Failing the actor of Quiet Failing no longer cares as failure approaches and occurs as the actor feels it is not their problem anymore.

Today at work i reached Quiet Failing and my life is better for it.
