Colloquial pronunciation of the phrase 'Friend of Gilgamesh', used to discreetly identify a homosexual man. The pejorative term "FAG" is derived from this phrase's acronym, although it is often erroneously believed to be an abbreviated slang form of the word "faggot".

friend-zy

An acquaintance who wants to become your best friend overnight. Slightly obsessive, very crazy. Copies everything you do and tries to get in your 'crowd' when she/he (usually female) hardly knows anyone. Prone to scenes inc. crying & sulking, general crazy behaviour and desperate for affection. Longs to hear you say you 'love her' via major hinting such as "love you", "do you like me better than..." All this behaviour accumulates into a 'friend-zy'.

APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!!

"Holy shit, that Lauren sure is a friend-zy. She keeps texting me all night and sulking when I see my other friends. She won't leave me alone."
