poser

A person who doesn't use their origional ideas to be who they want to be. They follow the crowd and try to fit in with what a certain group is doing. Since there are no more origional ideas left, and everything is based off of something, we are all posers. As soon as you can have the epiphiny that you are ALSO a poser, you can then have the epiphiny that you are NOT a poser. If you can't accept the fact that to a certain degree you are a poser, you can never leave poserdom.

"He's such a poser. He's trying to look just like that one punk singer from the 70's. He even admits to it."

{caution: embracing your poserdom is a hard task. In the long run, you will be thankful though. Not caring when other people call you a poser is how you get out of the poser loop.}

eco poser

Eco from the word Ecology, poser meaning one who tries to fit into a set idea or look for the pure esthetics, not truly believing in what they are doing or pretending to be.

An eco-poser is that person, we all know at least one, who buys all the eco-friendly non-toxic household products, organic local growns, hybrids and other 'green'ery. They really do not 'do' anything to help our earth, they just purchase over priced stuff from companies that try to help. So they wear the hemp and eat the organic, but do they actually take time out of there cell phone lives to give a helping hand? There lies the poser.

Ian was not an eco poser. The persistent permeation of French fries in his house was a dead give away.

Emma is such an eco poser dressed in her pseudo crunchie clothing, hanging out at starbucks, never using a togo cup.

St. Paddy's Day Poser

1. Someone that starts fabricating heritage to Ireland around St. Patricks Day as an excuse to go party.
2. Someone that acts like they know the words to Irish Music while at the bar on St. Patrick's Day.

Look at that guy slamming back the green beer, he's a St. Paddy's Day Poser. He told me last week that he was Polish.

Yeah, I bet he thinks the ISH on end of Polish will pass as Irish.
