Maddie is a person who has many personalities and is always bright and happy on the outside. On the inside she struggles but puts it aside and doesn’t say anything because she knows she has to be there for the people around her instead of taking care of herself.

Guy: She’s so happy, I wonder if she actually struggles ever?

The chief mandem is appointed by fellow mandems in a democratic process. The process involves a series of rap battles between the mandems which is followed by a vote of confidence to determine the winner and new chief mandem.
