soak update

When a manufacturer releases the beta update for a short period of time then removes the option for more beta testers. They "soak" up as many testers as they can in that period of time... then remove the update.

Motorola released a soak update for beta version of their 1.6.1 software for the Motorola Cliq then removed the update from the site.

pregnancy updates

A very stupid trend amongst todays teen and young 20 something expecting mothers who post weekly updates that really nobody needs to see or cares about, as if we forgot that you were pregnant from the week before. It is really retared and annoying and this trend needs to be stopped
