Elliot worked at Westbury Pharmacy, Melito's and as a disc jockey for a radio station before his time on AI. He is 90% deaf in one ear and dropped out of high school in 10th grade. Neither him nor his family knew of his talent before he did a karaoke performance at Champp's Restaurant at a mall.
