Stoopid is the quality of being stoned. If you know Slightly Stoopid, it means being hign enough to get through the day. Or, high enough to just kick back.

stooper

Among Irish Republicans in Northern Ireland, a "stooper" is an insult for a Catholic who isn't sufficiently nationalist; who is suspected of harbouring pro-British sympathies; who "stoops" (bows and scrapes, kowtows) to the Queen of England, and submits to the hegemony of the Unionist ascendancy.

Usually it just means somebody who supports the SDLP instead of Sinn Féin, but since the Good Friday Agreement the ultra diehards have started to regard Shinners as just another set of stoopers.

stoop kid

A teenager or young adult that loiters on someone else's stoop, or in any convenient public place, drinking 40's and smoking cigarettes, etc. A "stoop kid" is similar to a "street punk" though they don't necessarily subscribe to punk subculture. It is also similar to "stoop monkey" though it is not racially specific, nor does it have pejorative undertones.

He might work in corporate now, but he's still a stoop kid at heart.
