For those of you midwestern girs dying your hair blonde and wearing a popped collar does NOT make you preppy. Being a prep is not something that you can just decide to be, you are born a prep. Preppiness is a lifestyle not a fashion style. Also being a prep means that you attend an east coast preperatory school or an elite preperatory school near where you live. Preps play lacrosse,tennis,crew,etc. Preps aso belong to country clubs. And another thing Abercrombie & Fitch Hollister, American Eagle,etc is not preppy.

prep 1- Susan you looked so cute yesterday at your brother's squash match. I loved your lilly skirt, is that from the resort collection?

1. Someone who goes to a preparatory school.

2. Stereotype:
Someone who shops at places like Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, Hollister, and Pac Sun, is way into materialism and shopping, and will be rude to anyone who is not like them. I, personally, hate these types of people. They're annoying as hell.

3. Someone who wears Pac Sun, Lacoste, etc., but will still accept people of other types. I don't mind these people.

1. person1: I am a prep because I go to a preparatory school
person2: Great.

prep: Like, ehmigosh, you're so ugly because you don't shop at A & F!
punk: Go to hell.

A person who is either smart, or who everyone thinks is smart. Weres polo shirts all the time, is usually rich and wears pink all the time. These people are usually found in the library or doing extra-credit courses at lunch.

In common day today, they're usually Stereotypically Bitchy and Stuck up. When in Reality, there are some Preps who are kind, respect other Groups, and arn't assholes.
Preps Stereotypically Hate everyone different.

(Only preps I've met seem fond of my Headbanger self. >=D)

Are usually Hot, Really Hot. Like to wear Revealing main stream clothing, But who cares where it's from? As long as we can see what your trying to cover, we're fine.

a person that is rich and over uses the word oh my god and like. they are mainly white but there are some of other nacionalities. a lot of them think they are not prep and claim they hate preps. they normaly shop at abercrombie and fitch and hollister co.

Now preps are known as those chicks you would see wearing pink stuff, anything from Hollister, American Eagle, and Abercrombie and Fitch. There are some prep guys too but they are seen more as Jocks than "Preps". Now-a-days preps try to copy the punky style. (I say punk because i would say that punk is generally the overall style of "emo" and "scene". I don't believe in labels and neither should you guys.)

Anyhoo, as I was saying, preps are starting to copy that punky style (skinny-jeans, converse, studded belts, etc.) Why? Just proves to show that preps are just low-life bastards who try to fit in with society and try to be popular and hate punks and other cliches but still copy their style because they are losing their attention and popularity.
