Lounge Rats

Pejorative term for college students who would rather be sociable while studying than become shut-ins. "Lounge Rats" often annoy those who dislike social interaction or getting to know the people who live near them, but give the lounge a pleasant atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all non-douchebags

Student A: Dude, why do you guys have to be such Lounge Rats?
Student B: Bish, you hatin'! Chill with us, or go back to your room and cuddle your textbook.

Lounge Couple

A university couple which spends all of it's time in the coed lounge. Usually accompanied by a large amount of unneccesary PDA (Public Displays of Affection). Occasionally deemed a "velcro" couple for their incessant need to be touching.

The lounge couples are taking over the couches in here.

Use this if you do NOT know what you are saying.
A term used by wannabes to try to look intelligent.
The term is 'chaise longue.' French for 'long chair.' Not LOUNGE chair. Although similar in spelling. Not similar enough for intelligent people.

Jim: "Beth, bring me a Corona; I'll be out back in the 'chaise lounge.'"

Beth: "It is 'chaise longue' you moron; get your own BEER and get me a real BEER...a CANADIAN! Man bitch!"
