Coming from the word that is now over used "Epic," it means something that is twice as epic as normal.

Son - "Holy shit, that guy just did a double backflip off the playground!"

Father - "No son, that shit was Double Epic."

An instance where a person fires a single shot and hits two targets. Usually a term used when bird hunting or skeet shooting.

John took aim at one duck as it flew by and fired just as another crossed it's path, and hit both. A perfect scotch double for the day.
