friend request

My space term.

When someone want's to become your myspace "friend", they have the ability to comment your profile and pictures, and send you private messages.

All hardcore, scene, and emo kids have a myspace.

Jane looks at John's myspace and decides he's hot. or, hawt l0lz so hardcore!

Jane presses the friend request button, asking John to become her friend.

John then see's the friend request when he logs on. He has the ability to choose whether he want's Jane to be his friend or not. He clicks Decline because Jane isn't scene enough!

firedrill

Used by investment bankers(usually analysts) to mean they have something to get done and get back to someone really fast. Part of speech is variable. Also used by bankers when they go out to mean chug your drink.

"Coffee?"
"No, I'm firedrill right now for a VP"
"Oh that sucks, I had a bunch of firedrills this morning"
"I hate being in firedrill mode"
"Yeah I wish we hadn't firedrilled those shots last night"

Person one: "Daniel Radcliffe would make a good friend, he's really funny"
Person two: "Yeah, he's pretty friendable"

A person who you don't normally associate with except for on weekends. Also a person who you don't normally associate with unless they have something to offer.

Girl #1: "I don't have any money for the bar this weekend..."
Girl #2 "OH! Call up your weekend friend, she'll foot the bill!"
Girl #1: "Good idea!"

Weekday Friend

Opposite sex friends that are great to chill with Monday through Thursday but once the weekend comes it's time to go MIA. Friday will typically bring a ton of excuses or other more important things will pop up excusing them from the whole weekend. Once Monday rolls around, things return to normal and you're besties again. Could be considered an insult or a great arrangement depending on your status.

Girl 1: Are you going to his house this weekend?
Girl 2: Nah, girl, we're just weekday friends.
