scenester

a rather interesting person. contrary to very popular belief, they don't all just follow trends. the only trend these people follow is a love of music, which often bands them together. some of them are sxe, (straight edge) which means no sex, drugs, or drinking. but not all of them are. a lot of the girl wear brightly colored eyeshadows, maticulosly put onwith the greatest of care. many also wear brightly colored clothes, tight jeans, and flats. big round beaded necklaces or bracelets may be included also. the girls usually have razored hair, and it may or may not be dyed.
the guys usually wear tight pants, and/or tight shirts with a large belt buckle sometimes with guns or the like on it. they also usually wear some type of skate shoe or converses.they usually also have very nice hair, and you can tell they spent some time on it. that does not mean they are gay. it means they care about their apperance.

scene

The most stereotyped style or musical culture for many "underground" teens to young adults. Scene is misunderstood by everyone who isn't, wants to be, hates, and is in fact scene. It's not real because when you live in an actual city where bands play odds are there is more than one scene, or type of music. Scene is not supposed to be screamo, emo, hardcore, posthardcore, or any of those other labels given to a band based on how they dress. It is supposed to be people who support the "local" scene, meaning all the local genres, not just hxc, militia, or god knows what else. I could go on and on and on and on
...but everyone else already did and I just added another pointless entry because only "scene" kids read this right?
If you wear a tight band t-shirt, tight jeans, and someone doesn't know who you are and sees you at a show they'll point at you with their friends and say, "look at that scene or scenemo kid."

scene kid

A group of kids who all hang out togther and have the "emo" hairstyle, tight girl pants a tight band t-shirt and wear checkered vans and a studded belt. They are typically very, very vain and think highly of themselves. And piss on those heavier or different than them just to boost their self esteem. They listen to screamo, hardcore and gangster rap. They incorporate rap vernacular in their everyday language to be "just random" They claim to be straight edge when they think it's cool around the older scene kids but when all of their non-scene friends are around them smoking they smoke just to fit in. Then will claim to need a huge nic fix. They constantly pull double standards when the topic of music is brought up. For example:
scene kid: "Do you like Underoath?"
metalhead: "Not really my thing."
metalhead: "I'm a big fan of Iron Maiden though."
Scene kid: "Eeew Iron Maiden is sooo old and gross, I hate them....arrgh!"
Metalhead: "Have you even heard them?"
Scene kid: "No."

five points of scenesterdom

The five points of scenesterdom explain the universal truths of scenesters. Arranged in the shape of a star, the priority of each point is more the closer to the top it is.

At the top of the star is music.

In the middle is lifestyle and clothes.

At the bottom is hair and hobbies.

Although the exact details slightly differ between areas, in general if you have all five points covered you will get along with any scenester anywhere.

This quasi-scientific method of measuring and understanding scenesters was originally created by Grace-Monday, a disgruntled half-scenester, in 2005.
He listens to all the right music, goes to all the right bars, and knows all the right people.. however, he dresses a mess and his hair is ugly. He doesn't encompass all five points of scenesterdom.

scenemo

a scenemo can have traits from both.
i for instant have the scene traits:
the hair
the personality *not the ego
partly the music
partly the fashion

i have the emo traits:
partly the music
sensitivety
ego part. (:
erm, im not HUGELY popular but lets say i am saving up for 10 weeks to buy xmas presents.
also, i noee that i am. but don't label people by seeing someone on the streets goin "oh thats a scene kid/ emo. etc"
you need to noee them before you label them
a few extra things.

scenemo's often listen to indie and rock.
they are one of the nicest people/ stereotypes.
you don't find many around but... the ones you do are nice to talk to.
