The “English or Spanish” meme is a funny, absurd internet joke. It goes like this:

1. Someone asks, “English or Spanish?”
2. The person chooses “English.”
3. The response is, “Move and you’re gay,” making the person freeze in place to avoid the consequence of being gay.

Person 1: “English or Spanish?”
Person 2: “English”

Person 1: “Move and you’re gay” OR “Whoever moves first is gay.” causing both parties to stand still

Hostel English

A variant of the English language used among young people and backpackers in Hostels across the world. Usually includes overuse of 'like', 'awesome' and 'amazing'.

"The burgers around the corner from the hostel are like so amazing."
"Dude, will you stop speaking in Hostel English."

What your Calculus teacher says before an evaluation, typically to indicate difficult wording of a word problem or just to tell their students not to be dumb in a subtle way. Usually said with a disappointed-i'm-praying-for-you look. Also commonly paired with "read it in full" or "read it twice".

Calc teacher: Related rates is not hard, just read the problem in full and read it in english
Student: *Crying*
Calc teacher: Not my problem if you didn't do the homework
