The place where pointless stories go. If some tells you a boring, pointless story, put your arms in a circle and tell them to put the story in the story basket, a.k.a. the trash.

Friend: One time I went to the store and bought a coke.
You: And...
Friend: That was it...
You: Put it in the story basket. smh

Example:

Friend 1: Your wife was cheating on you?
Friend 2: Worse, I found out later that one time she had sex with her boss at work and then came home and we had sex.

When someone's telling a story and lies, and then gets called out. The liar then proceeds to backtrack, change the story, and lie some more to fit the new narrative

This guy was telling me the biggest lie, and when I called him out on it, he totally denied it, changed the story too! The Story Swerving was unreal, I think I got whiplash
