sober steve

A person who refuses to partake in any form of drug taking, in particular when drugs are easily available.
It may also refer to a person who is under the influence of alcohol/weed and is acting silly,naive or immature. In this context it is used sarcasticly.
A person who is drinking an alcoholic beverage very slowly may also be called "Sober Steve".

Hey man why don't you stop being such a Sober Steve? I mean you can't come the whole way to amsterdam and not smoke some pot?

Sober Party

A term for a party that doesn't involve alcohol, usually before an event you can't go drunk to.

John: So is there a party before prom?
Sean: Yeah but it's a sober party, they're kicking kids out of school if you go to prom drunk.

Sober as a bird

This term is often used by people who are belligerently drunk. In efforts to describe their obviously non-existent states of sobriety, these people claim to be "sober as a bird." Use of the term is a clear indicator of drunkenness.

Sean: Hey man are you alright?
JP: Yeah man; I'm sober as a bird.

Sideline Sober

A person who remains sober throughout a party/night out. They keep at the "sidelines" and are not at all party goers.

Look at that kid sitting in the corner. He's drinking Mountain Dew. He's such a Sideline Sober!
