refers to accepting something blindly without thought or criticism.

The phrase “drinking the Kool-Aid” refers to followership at its worse. It was coined after a delusional, pseudo-guru named Jim Jones led his cult, the Peoples Temple, to mass suicide. Over 900 people, including 304 children, killed themselves by drinking from a vat of grape-flavored drink laced with cyanide.

church lady kool-aid

Church lady kool-aid is kool-aid but doesn't have much of the powder mix in it. It tastes really bad, or just like water, because of the lack of sugar and taste. The name comes from the way an older lady would make kool-aid with less sugar, sort of "more healthy".

Person 1: Dude, is this just colored water?
Person 2: My mom made it. It's church lady kool-aid.

Daily Kos (Daily Kooks)

Daily kooks 30 something and can typically be found in their parents basement about to,in the middle of or just finished whacking off to old Liberace posters. They pride themselves as being "enlightened", but when faced with a debate of substance, they start sputtering bumper sticker slogans such as "Bush Lied, troops Died" or Jesus was an organizer and Pointus Pilot was a Governor". If this doesn't work, then they resort to throwing food and running off like pansies.

They preach about how the government is so bad while leaching untold amounts of money from the government under the guise of "welfare". Usually they use the tactics of Saul Alinsky when they don't get their way or losing an argument, they go to ridiculing and making up stories to fit their agenda. No need to visit this sight unless you are depressed, suicidal or need a good laugh. Usually can be found wearing Obama t-shirts stating "change-Delusions you can believe in".

Uh oh, another democratic party member recieved his talking points from the Daily Kos (Daily Kooks).

kool aid

a cheap refreshing drink that comes in the form of a powder in a packet. Comes in many, many flavors. Just add water. Non-carbonated, the drink is promoted on TV by the walking Kool Aid pitcher. He holds a picture and a cup filled with the drink and says "Ohhhh yeahhh!" as he crashes through a wall. Jim Jones and his People's Temple cult in the Jonestown compound in Guyana commited mass suicide by drinking Kool Aid laced with cyanide.

Mom: Are you thirsty? I got some grape flavored Kool Aid.
