Get the Vanity MCmug. A doctoral degree pursued solely for the status conferred by the title of "Dr." and the lifestyle perks associated with living in a desirable location, without any genuine interest in academic achievement or contributing to a field of study. The motivation for obtaining a "vanity PhD" is entirely based on the superficial benefits of holding a doctorate (social prestige and lifestyle) rather than the pursuit of knowledge or a passion for research.

Bootleg Vanity - if you really like how you look, but you don’t take it seriously and it’s light-hearted. Then your friends know you’re bullshitting them they just do whatever, but they’re cool about it.
High-End Vanity - a healthy selfish. Putting yourself before others to do what's best for you.
Vanity - the mirror thing where you want to kiss yourself and you actually mean it.
