Contrary to the misinformation perpetuated by introverts about introverts, people don't become more introverted at different times in their life, and more extroverted at others. You're either an introvert all the time or you're not, since it's possible for anyone, including introverts, to be outgoing at times (which isn't the same as being an extrovert or becoming one).
An asshole can be nice, but that doesn't change the nature of who he/she is, an asshole doesn't become something else by being nice for a while. It works the same way with an introvert, an introvert doesn't become more introverted or more extroverted at times, the person's nature is always the same.

An extrovert that is now an introvert (or more introverted) after being stuck at home during the Covid pandemic. Most likely an introvert who still likes to be social but gets overwhelmed easier than they did pre-pandemic.

Someone who "opts out" of plenty potential social situations, regardless of whether they do want to participate or not—opts out not by their own will, but because they "have to" because of unchangeable or similar circumstances.
Susie is an obligate introvert; instead of following a proper public school education, due to a myriad of sensible reasons, she learns shit at home using Acellus, Wikipedia, her parents' biased political opinions, reality shows, and homeschool textbooks. The downside or "opportunity cost" of this is that she is unable to make friends face-to-face at school. She instead meets them mostly on the internet...
