once 2 people of opposite gender converge on a single point, a new person (usually female, but sometimes male) will join the room, and thus the balance tipped. With this new change in gender, more of the dominant gender flock, trying to get the attention of the lone male (or female)
Once there's a 3 - 5 to 1 ratio, another male will join, and thus the ho effect has hit full circle.

Get the Forum Effect mug.In any moba game, when playing a character for free or on rotation you seemingly do great getting as many kills as possible. When you buy the character using your own money or the in game currency you seem to go terrible. There is no other explanation for this sudden bad play but the smite effect.
''Man Teemo was on rotation when I played him I went 40 and 0. Dude I bought him and suddenly went 1 and 11. Yeah bro the smite effect at its finest.''

Get the The Smite Effect mug.The Devin Effect is a term used in the League of Legends community given to a specific circumstance in which a game can be lost due to a disproportional amount of kills given to one player. Although a team can technically be ahead in kills, if the majority of the kills have been given to one specific champion, they will ultimately lose the game for the rest of the team due to the lack of spreading of gold, kills, assists, and resources. If said champion were to die during a team fight, the rest of the team would stand no chance against the opposing team.
Devin got all the kills during the first half of the game, so the rest of us were left at level 12 without upgraded boots and I began to reverse snowball. We lost the game because of the Devin Effect.
