Much like the phrase get your mind out of the gutter, which is said when someone is thinking dirty, but instead of dirty thoughts, your telling them to stop thinking homo thoughts; often used when someone reacts in a gay way.

Chirs: Fuck you.
Nick: What time? lol.
Chris: Dude.. get your mind out of the gay gutter.
