a feeling that is just the worst

You walk down the street at nighttime while the sun is setting. You pull out your phone
"Come home NOW!" your mom yells
"OK coming" you reply, and everything further escalates
You begin to walk home immediately after the call
The temperature of the air begins to drop and you get cold while walking. You watch stores begin to close as you walk and lights being turned off.
The stars begin to come out and the sky begins to pale orange-purple
It darkens
You feel a sudden aura of emptiness as there are not really anything and you are in an environment where you won't find much
You arrive home finally but it feels empty
