a genre that was started by and still to this day only has one band in it: macabre. Rather than singing about dark evils (black metal) or the progenies of satan (death metal), murder metal is about actual serial killers and murders. Taking elements of the black metal, death metal, and thrash metal for their own sound.

-This is good music. The bassline is complex and groovy but the guitarist is tapping and shredding like a madman.
-Yeah, that's funk metal.

Derived from the long running British science fiction show "Doctor Who"; the phrase is used at the end of one's answer to the question "How was your day" or "What did you do today?"
Works best if one's day was filled with random, unforeseen events.

1st Person: So what was your day full of?
2nd Person: Oh I did EVERYTHING! Had an arguement about meta-physics & the creation/purpose of the universe, the current state of the Third Dimension, and all things in between. Vowed to pick a fight with the meta-physical incarnation of the Concept of Hell.
Oh, and I met a horse.
Brother: What'd you do today sis?
Sister: ... well, I went to see my friend in the hospital, got into a care accident afterward, ended up in a bed next to her for a few hours before the doctors actually told me to leave... oh and I met a horse.
Brother: In a hospital? Rather unhygienic... wait, WHAT?!

Get the Oh, and I met a horse mug.A genre of music that splices with the soul of its listeners, relieves the volcanic frustrations of those who have no other outlet to release into and entrances the minds and hearts of Metalheads internationally to create the familial bonds of respect. No other genre can compare to the brutal and hallowed desecration of the senses that metal inflicts upon the masses. Those who do not understand the therapeutic properties of the music interpret it as Satanic Blasphemy, when in reality; they should be thanking metal for giving Metalheads another alternative besides the animalistic annihilation of everyone who has given them reason for murder.
Metal evolved from Classical music, Blues and Rock to birth the likes of: Black Sabbath, Slayer, Pantera, Autopsy, Lamb of God, Morbid Angel, Dissection, etc...

Get the Metal mug.Hands down one of the best genres of music. Negative stereotypes about metal come from metalheads, who always argue, that their music/band is better, than whatever you listen to, if it's not metal.

Get the metal mug.A nuclear equipped walking battle tank. Metal Gear Rex was held by the army, with legendary technology. The US marines later made use of Metal Gear Ray, which was amphibious, unlike the army's Rex. Metal Gear Arsenal was disguised as a rig in the middle of a lotta water. It was revealed to be more than just a weapon, containing nearly every piece of valuable information to the US government. It wasn't just a weapon, but the core of the country. It was guarded by a bunch of Rays. I don't know where the story goes from there, as I have not gotten Metal Gear Solid 3 yet.
Wow. It's a cool name that has been re-used for projects of killing machines and databases for the US government.
