Basically, the devil wouldn't live here. I highly would NOT recommend young girls to take public transportation in this city. I was sexually assaulted twice (once on the bus and once at the bus stop). Two grown men came up to me on the bus and gave me a flyer saying that they are looking for an "investor." I also have been harassed and stalked multiple times living here. Men would ask me if I need a ride. Another time, a random man kept telling me that he could get me a job. Plus, there was a serial rapist near the college that I attended (Bakersfield College). Thankfully, he was caught. It is affordable but there are simply too many sexual predators. There are way too many homeless people. In addition, it gets super hot in the summer. The air quality is trash. It takes away years from your life. You can save a lot of money by living here but just make sure you live in the good areas. Buy a gun. Know how to use it. People frequently steal amazon packages. Make sure you get a ring camera because people may try to break into your home. Do not accept rides from anyone! Don't live in east Bakersfield. That's basically the ghetto. You're welcome! Same as Fishmonger's, barely fucking exist. Now, I will excuse every other store that isn't Tesco's or Morrison's. So let's rant about these shitty bread providers..
Tesco's and Morrisons have harder bread than shitting diamonds, every time I bite into a sandwich with their sad excuse of bread there is a 1% chance my tooth falls out. How do you mess up BREAD? IT IS LITERALLY FUCKING LIKE 5 PIECES OF WHEAT PUT TOGETHER, HOW DO YOU MESS THAT SHIT UP?

Bakersfield Nortenos: refer to subsets of the Norteño gangs or members operating in Bakersfield, California. These groups are affiliated with Nuestra Familia, a prominent prison gang. Traditionally, the borderline location between the Nortenos, and Surano gang territories is Bakersfield California. Bakersfield Norteno history tied to the Nuestra Familia, Bakersfield norteno roots trace back to the Correctional Training Facility a prison in Soledad CA, back in 1965. The gang formed as a protective alliance for rural northern hispanic inmates facing extortion and violence from the Mexican Mafia.

Gonzalo "Chalo" Hernandez, of Bakersfield, was a original member and co-founder of Nuestra Familia, and later became head of the NF organization. Rodolfo "Cheyenne" Cadena, was a prominent Mexican Mafia member from "Varrio Viejo gang." In early 1971, Chalo and Cheyenne forged an "La EME-NF" truce, which lasted around 6 months.
