Decompression Nap

When you wake up from a really deep sleep and have to take a nap before you can get up and start your day.

Similar to a deep sea diver stopping on the way up to decompress in order to avoid getting the bends.

"Sorry I'm two hours late to work. I needed a decompression nap this morning"

When one sleeps on their back with a knife or forearm clutched closely to their chest in anticipation of a predator awakening them.

I got real tired on my camping trip so I took a quick bobcat nap.

Someone who's face is so boring looking that you just want to take a nap. Their presence alone drains the energy out of you. Just looking at them makes you want a cup of coffee.

raccoon nap

When, having gorged yourself on fatty junk food, you almost immediately fall asleep, still covered in crumbs or grease.

Like the Itis, but more a matter of falling asleep where you ate like a raccoon in a dumpster.

I ate a large DiBella's Sub for lunch then passed out in the booth for a little raccoon nap.
