When you need to start a podcast but the margaritas have turned your brain into Michael Scott, and this is all you can muster. You just got that pony in the water.

"I'm going to let you finish, but..."
A phrase that one would say in the process of interrupting, upstaging and detracting from another person's shining moment.

Older lady (holding a baking sheet full of buttermilk biscuits): "These are all handmade, like my mom used to-"
Enter unruly nephew: Auntie, those are some great biscuits - I-I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish, but Grandma had some of the best biscuits of all time - some of the best biscuits of all time!!

Dude 1: 'Man this girl was so hot - she had a drink in her hand and was walking over to me at the other end of the ba-'
Dude 2: 'I'mma let u finish, but she was the ugliest girl of all time!'

“Let me bang, bro” was a phrase coined by Julian “Nitrane” Lane on season 25 of the UFC’s reality series “The Ultimate Fighter.” After losing his preliminary match, Lane was visibly upset over the course of the season and during a night of boozing and partying amongst the fighters, A heavily intoxicated Lane began demanding that his fellow housemates let him “bang.” While it is not entirely clear what Lane meant by this, it is speculated and widely believed that Julian wanted to engage in gay sexual intercourse with his fellow fighters.

A quote that has long been attributed to Marie Antoinette, although historians have generally concluded that she never said that.
Rousseau published in his work "Confessions" (1770) a story of a "great princess" who asked why the peasants were so upset; when told that they had no bread, the princess flippantly said "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche". Marie Antoinette was only fourteen at the time, unknown to the world, and was not even in France at the time.

The story of the ignorant, callous princess uttering "Let them eat cake" was around for a century before Marie Antoinette was even born. Contrary to saying such a statement, Marie Antoinette once wrote to her family: "It is quite certain that in seeing the people who treat us so well despite their own misfortune, we are more obliged than ever to work hard for their happiness. The King seems to understand this truth."
