The person being poisoned "switches the cups" and turns the tables on the poisoner.

That's where the feedback loop started. The snake eating it's own tail. Because (at the time) there were only 9 Sins and There were only 4 people. And no one had ever killed anyone before. Which Sin was it and what makes you think Abel was the good one?"
