This term came from a story my dad told me. He was in 1st grade waiting in the lunch line, when an exchange student from Pakistan farted. The fart smelled so bad that two girls threw up immediately. Funniest thing I've ever heard.

The undeniable stench of body odor that is so strong you can smell the offense as the person walks up to you. This replaces the common and traditional greeting used such as clasping hands to convey a welcome and friendly introduction.

This type of 'handshake' is most prevalent in middle eastern countries: Pakistan, India, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Russia, etc. Also, most of the African continent as well: Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria to name a few.
