To be in the process of doing an activity to the fullest extent possible. This phrase is often exacerbated by the saying "never on it softly" too add emphasis to the fact that this activity is never carried out in a half-arsed manner

Person 1. Are u on it hard?

Person 2. Am I on it hard? For fuck's sake of course I'm on it hard, I'm always on it hard, and never on it softly.
