Feeding of the mammals

When you are at a large gathering of people, especially a bbq or a thanksgiving celebration...and everyone starts feasting on meats and such, and you feel like such a carnivore and everyone around you turns into a pack of hyenas.

There was a feeding of the mammals at my dad's when he cooked that pork shoulder. He invited over 20 people and they looked like if the pork wasn't good they would eat each other. It was the ending of Troll 2 and you felt disgusted by it, yet at the same time you liked it...unless you were a vegetarian pussy.

feeding the beast

Feeding the beast refers to the consumption of drugs subsequent to the first use of the day. This usually pertains to regular users, as the most satisfying hit of any drug is the first one of the day. This is due to its having the most noticeable effect, and satisfying the user's cravings, which in many cases, they are fighting all day prior. The phrase refers to the diminished effect of continued use of the drug combined with the user's essentially insatiable appetite to continue using.
