fratellone

An Italian word that translates to "big brother" in english. The word is informal and affectionate, used between either close brothers, or even close friends, and in Italian is taken to mean "big bro." It is not to be confused with the literal translations, "maggiore fratello", which is extremely formal and literal for "older brother", or "grande fratello", which is a translation of George Orwell's Big Brother in the novel 1984.

Fate's a waiter

Another phrase that means "Justice has been served." Probably derived from a joke involving the definition of "served" and exactly who the server would be in this case. In any case, Fate seems to serve Justice in this manner.

syn: "Fate's been a waiter"
ant: "Fate's no waiter"

I see that your purse was returned to you, it's obvious that Fate's been a waiter on this one.

A group of pretentious college boys who pay a ton of money to relive their high school glory days by date-raping girls, childishly excluding others who are different, and bullying their new members in the name of "brotherhood."

Girl: Why would you want to join a fraternity? They're all assholes.
