(N.) An excuse for old people on VH1 to dwell back onto their lost youth and weep uncontrollably that their actually adults now with kids and responsibilities.

How can anyone possibly love the 80's? Maybe I can understand the 70's, but the 80's? It's the only decade in world history when the entire world was gay. Think about it. Everyone in tight pink spandex. (*shudders*)

I love the 80's 

The VH1 take on the 1980s sucks dog-shit. They did the documentaries as if rock and hip-hop did not exist before 1990. Instead, VH1 only focuses on the hair, the hair, and nothing but the hair. The hair sucked alright, but that was NOT the only thing significant about the 80's. Sheesh.

I love the 80's, but not according to the opinions of the assholes who run VH1.

Comes from the name of a warm and fuzzy nostalgia series that used to air on VH-1; you don't actually need to have been alive in the 80's to drop this phrase.
