walk-through

To pass trough a non-smoking area with a lit cigarette. What makes a walk-through different from just smoking in the house (or wherever) is that the person makes an effort to get to the next smoking area as quickly as possible. In addition, hitting the cigarette nullifies the walk-through and thus constitutes "smoking in the house."

Rob: Hey I'm going out back, is it ok if I walk-through?

Marty: Yeah, go for it.

Morgan: Hi Rob! How's is going?

Rob (with cigarette raised): Not bad, but I can't talk. I'm doin a walk-trough.

Shit walk

The walk you take when you have to take a shit usally in a public place. this walk consist of swearing, holding and rubbing of the stomache and constent mumbles of how bad you have to shit. The moment you see the bathroom door you feel a huge sense of relief.

Mike: yo are we leaving yet?

Chris: ya man just wating for Mark.

Mike: where the is he?

Chris: Oh he just took a shit walk, who knows when he'll be back...

Board Walking

The act of manually rummaging through archived forums, BBSs, news groups, etc., in search of useful information.

The term is frequently used figuratively in an effort not to reveal the specifics of one's resources (ie: what site you got the information from. See second example).

NOT to be confused with Dumpster Diving (Dumpster Diving was recently incorrectly defined on Al Franken's nationally syndicated radio show.)
