a person who likes something just because they have heard that someone else likes them. someone who wouldn't understand the meaning behind the lyrics or the thoughts and feelings. someone who says they are when they aren't and are so obviously following along. someone who is so fake it's sickening.

person1: so i'm gonna go buy this AFI cd.
person2: what's AFI?
person1: just this band i like.
person2: what does it stand for?

a week later, (after seeing picture of AFI)
person2: eww, they're so scary looking

a week later after that,
person2: yea!, soo i really like miss murder.
(sings *kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep* in squeaky voice.)
person1: uhmmm..

in other words, posers are people who take the meaning out of something beautiful by twisting it around and turning it into something strange in their little podpeople heads.

not that AFI would ever be ruined.

Definition 1: Wears black clothes, and sick t-shirts to impress people and look tough.

Definition 2: Buys a skateboard because they didn't do too well hanging out with the gangsta's.

Definition 3: Listens to Avril Lavigne and wear spike bracelets around their arms the next day.

Example 1:
Moe: Hey, do you skate?

Unknown: No.

Moe: Then why are you wearing Element?

Unknown: I want to skate.

Example 2:

Unknown: Excuse me sir, I want to buy that shirt with the two guns pointing at each other and the rose in the middle. I think it will make me look cool.

A dumbass hypocrite trendwhore conformist asshole who can't think for his/herself. They like anything their friends like, like a band, and usually don't know any songs by that band. When you ask them they usually say they like all of their songs and never mention one.

They also like Anything thats popular and usually don't know any music beyond mainstream. Loves to jump on bandwagons and bash things other people bash. They love to be "cool", they will try to call YOU a poser, even though you aren't labeling yourself, like they are.

Oh, and if you call Good Charlotte posers just because everyone else does, you're technically THEE poser, because you're being a conformist. I don't like Good Charlotte anyway, but people need to stop bashing them.

scene poser

Scene posers come to places like urban dictionary, google etc. and search scene just to see what scene people wear, do and act. They will then attempt to dress and act scene but infact be complete utter posers and fail miserably. Scene posers are very sad muchly like other posers. So dearest children if you are doing this to become scene go buy some originality cos' its so in right now (you see because I just said originality was in they're gonna go get some because they're such posers).

skate poser

any person that feeds off of skateboarding culture for social status or sees a relation between how cool someone looks and, how good they skate. these people mostly shop at Journey's Pacsun and Tilly's posers usually wear merchandise from Etnies, DC, Nike 6.0, Element and some vans. the typical poser, when confronted with the oppurtunity to ride a skateboard, switches out their dirtiest shoes so the others dont get dirty. If you suck at skating or havent skated in a while, your not a poser as long as you enjoy the activity and its culture unlike posers who disrespect skateboarding and see as a style and not a way of life

Skate Poser walks into a skate shop, Poser: do you guys sell DC shoes. Skater: no way we have fallens Poser: never mind those are ugly.

pig power structure
