non-prophet group

Any organization or gathering of realistically-practical and open-mindedly compassionate people who are genuinely trying to assist their fellow humans with specific problems, and who wish to do so in a sane rational truly-effective "real world" manner, without trying to force a huge load of prejudiced acridly-critical theological "tough love" babble down the throats of the unfortunates who are seeking their help.
I hate it when non-prophet groups are labelled as "heathen" or "atheist" --- heck, they're just trying to actually provide people with what they really need, but without being destructively judgemental... what's so horrid or "sinful" about that???

Honey, we should invite Nancy and her family into our COVID friend group and have them over for take out dinner. She and her husband have been working from home and are uber careful, both themselves and with their kids, about social distancing and masks/hand washing, etc..
