In the Destiny universe, "Carlos and Maria" are what Eva Levante secretly calls her fists: lefty being Carlos and righty being Maria.

Even though she claims to be a normal grandmother, she secretly hides the light, is a titan named Zorro, and sneaks out during holiday events to honor "Carlos and Maria" a.k.a. kill enemies of the tower with her bare fists.

Eva just smiles warmly knowing that Carlos and Maria are both still able to enjoy the solstice bonfire.
