Anime Music Videos are one of the primary reasons that the internet is full of garbage. These peices of shit are churned out by the hundreds each hour onto the internet because all the Japanophiles and Wapanese retards have to much time on their hands. It's a commonly known fact that most AMV's use Linkin Park. It's not really known why all the anime freaks use this music, probably due to high levels of Emo in their songs. The anime music videos that don't use LP most likely use other Emo music, or worse, shitty J-pop.

I always wanted to be an animal.
I mean, wouldn't it be awesome to be a chicken? You have to jump over somebody to get to where you're going, you're swimming in your own feces, you're surrounded by a shitload of other chickens and then killed at the age of 2 months... erm... okay, a pig.
You're castrated at birth and fed until you can't stand, and if you don't eat fast enough you're banged against concrete and shot if you aren't fat enough to slaughter... erm... cows?
Being constantly pregnant so you can provide milk to another species and then when you aren't "useful" enough you get to be turned into food... nope, being an animal kinda sucks.

Anime, in recent years, has enjoyed a significant boom in popularity in outside of Japan, namely in the Western world.
Although anime has interesting and unusual themes, sometimes adult (not common in most Western animation), anime doesn't really deserve the mass popularity it has gained. Most anime shows follow similar and repetetive plots and themes to eachother, and as well, anime technique on a whole is very primitive in comparison to the American school of classical animation (eg. VERY static characters, anime has walk cycles of 4 frames) and it seems the Japanese animators take as many shortcuts as possible. Humor in anime for the most part is insultingly simplistic; a character says something stupid, and everyone falls down. The sad thing is, most anime that tries to be humorous borrows the exact same gags as every other "comedy" anime.
However, there are a few artful gems which defy these stereotypes, (Miyazaki's films, namely) but on the whole anime is a overhyped genre thats sadly, killing North American cartoons off television.
