adj.
That eerie feeling when someone’s politeness is so unnervingly perfect and mechanical, it sets off your internal alarms. It’s the kind of fake niceness that feels like a mask hiding something darker—too smooth, too rehearsed, like a polite robot lurking just beneath the surface. When someone’s uncanny polite, you don’t just feel uneasy—you instinctively brace for manipulation or hidden intentions.

“I don’t trust her—she’s always so uncanny polite, like she’s planning something behind that smile. It feels like a trap somehow.”

When the division and "hate" between two political figures, parties, countries, etc. is predominantly fabricated, and both parties/figures are on much better terms with each other than what they portray, all to benefit their own personal interests.
"Dude, did you see the picture of the Clinton's with Trump at his wedding? I thought they hated each other!"
"Bro, their hatred for each other is just some watering hole politic."
Water(ing) hole politics came to me in a fever dream. Derives from how animals were thought to put aside their prey/predator interactions when at a watering hole. This turned out to be a myth, just like how even the friendly banter of two political opponents which supposedly hate each other behind the scenes is likely fake too, as both candidates are acting nice to each other behind curtains for their own personal gain, and likely don't even like each other.

abbreviation: P.U.S.; The only members of the U.S. Congress to belong to nonmainstream political parties or registered as independent for a long period of time between 1971- 2021. They are Representative James Stanton, Senator Bernard Sanders, Senator Angus King Jr., Senator James Jeffords, Delegate Victor Frazer, Resident Commissioner Baltasar Corrada, Senator Harry Byrd Jr., Senator Dean M. Barkley, and Representative Justin Amash. All of them were independent, but Justin Amash changed to a Libertarian during his last year in office due to the barrage of partisan bickering from the Republicans and Democrats, which he was the first Libertarian to have held a seat in congress.
Why does the Political Underdog Squad matter so much? Because these politicians are the only politicians in Congress, over a fifty year period, be members nonmainstream political parties, which helps to keep the two mainstream parties in check.

Being told how to live but not in a fun sexual/kinky way. Often includes terms such as, "tariffs, economy, and your mom."
Hanna: I asked your mom about politics, and she told me she knows everyhting...it kind of made me uncomfrtable when she grabbed my thigh.
Sarah: Okay who did you vote for?
