This is a throwback to an old Looney Tunes cartoon.

There was a cartoon where a group of cats were scared of fighting a mouse. One of the cats says, "Are we men or are we mice?"
A smaller cat tugs on his leg and looks at him coyly and says (in a very high pitched voice) "I like cheese!"

Cheese and Vegemite Sandwich

The lunch of choice for many Australian children (and adults, for that matter). Often found in school lunchboxes. Cheese used is usually Kraft Cheddar or Coon Tasty.

Referenced in the popular Australian song "Down Under" by Men At Work.

"What have you got for lunch today?"
"Cheese and vegemite sandwich again, mmm"

cheese and rice

This is a less offensive way of saying "Jesus Christ"

It originated with the movie 'The Faculty'. In the real version, one of the characters exclaimed "Jesus Christ!" but in the edited TV version, they had it changed to "Cheese and rice!"
